    Our Academic Programme:

    The Sir Marshal School provides a challenging academic programme that emphasizes personal responsibility and respect for all individuals in a community where every child is cherished, encouraged and prepared for continued success. We believe that the students of SMS will achieve at an exceptional level of academic proficiency within in a nurturing environment.

    The following curriculum is offered:

    Central Board of Secondary Education of India

    The curriculum encourages students to be active learners who explore, understand and participate in the world around them. By exposing students to a wide variety of disciplines, both cognitive and non-cognitive skills are fine-tuned as they prepare for a well-balanced life outside of school.

    Red is the color of energy, passion and action. Red is energizing. It excites the emotions and motivates us to take action. It signifies a pioneering spirit and leadership qualities, promoting ambition and determination.

    Yellow is the color of the mind and the intellect. Being the lightest hue of the spectrum, the color psychology of yellow is uplifting and illuminating, offering hope, happiness, cheerfulness and fun.

    Green is the colour of balance, harmony and growth. Green is an emotionally positive color, giving us the ability to love and nurture ourselves and others unconditionally.

    Blue is the colour of trust and responsibility. Blue is reliable and responsible. It exhibits an inner security and confidence. The color blue is idealistic, enhancing self-expression and our ability to communicate our needs and wants.

    House System :

    To create the sense of discipline and competition, we divide the each school in four houses-

    1- The Rock Climber House.
    2- The Wave Walker House.
    3- The Sky Hawker House.
    4- The Earth Shaker House.

    A student from each house is appointed as the captain of the house. A teacher is also appointed as house in charge. Inter-house activities are performed time to time. The working record of each house leads the house to be the best house of the school.

    Play School and Kindergarten:

    The Sir Marshal School, with a home-like atmosphere and a low child to teacher ratio, offers a method based learning experience for children. The curriculum is Play- based , and Child – centred recognising students’ multiple intelligence.

    This stage of schooling is a formative time when students lay the groundwork for learning. Our learning to learn approach teaching promotes critical thinking and creativity. The essential areas of formal learning the curriculum focuses on are:

      • ICT

    The Formative Years (Play Group, Nursery, Kindergarten):

    The first few years that children spends in school are extremely critical in their development and also influence their attitude towards the school in general and studies in particular. Recognizing this, Sir Marshal School lays great emphasis on providing our younger children with a friendly, warm , and homely environment. The classrooms are well equipped and brightly decorated to exude a feeling of belonging. A play park provides areas for leisure and relaxation for the little ones outside their classrooms. The teaching at this level is activity based and modern methods of teaching like play way and role play are extensively used for imparting education.

    The Junior School (Class I – V):

    It is the first step forward for our little ones as they enter class I The basic inputs that the child has been provided at the formative stage are consolidated at this level as the students becomes capable of understanding basic concepts of the various subjects. The classrooms and infrastructure have been carefully selected to ensure that the sense of belonging keep on carrying as he moves to the junior school. Various activities are introduced at this level and the children are encouraged to explore their creativity and individual talent.

    The Middle School (Class VI to VIII):

    The school helps him make the transition from a protected environment to one where he develops his individuality and personality. The child is also encouraged to develop his interest in specific subjects as per his aptitude and potential so that the later years he may specialize in his chosen areas.
